Roseway is a vibrant neighborhood in Northeast Portland, known for its strong sense of community and local pride. Residents are passionate about urban farming, music, the arts, and building meaningful connections. Situated along the busy Sandy Boulevard, the rose sculpture was created to send a clear message: people live here. Developed in collaboration with the Roseway Neighborhood Association, the project serves as a symbol of identity and belonging. As a striking landmark, the rose not only marks Roseway’s presence on Sandy Boulevard but also reflects the neighborhood’s unique character and values—making them visible to everyone who passes through.
